By using the Site, you agree to be bound by the Funeral Fund Terms of Use, which includes the terms of this Privacy Policy, and you expressly consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”). If you do not so agree to the Privacy Policy, you are prohibited from accessing or using Funeral Fund’s Site or Services. If you do not agree to any of the terms of the Privacy Policy, kindly discontinue viewing or participating in Funeral Fund immediately. All capitalized terms used herein and not otherwise defined herein, and the terms “we,” “our,” or “us,” have the definitions set forth in the Terms of Use Agreement.

 

The Privacy Policy describes how we handle your personal information in connection with your use and our operation of Funeral Fund, including the kind of information we gather and how it is used. The purpose of the Privacy Policy is to help you make an informed decision about whether to use or continue using Funeral Fund’s Site or Services.

We will not give your name or personal information to third parties unless required by law or as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy.

PayPal and Stripe process all of the transactions on Funeralfund.com. No one at Funeral Fund, Inc. sees your credit card information. PayPal and Stripe are the only ones who have access to that information.

 

The Funeralfund.com Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use Funeralfund.com’s services. By using PayPal as a payment mechanism, users are also bound by the PayPal policy and PayPal Acceptable Use Policy. By using Stripe as a payment mechanism, users are also bound by the Stripe policy and Stripe Acceptable Use Policy.

 

Email

We will send you emails relating to your personal transactions. You may receive email notifications, service-related announcements, forwarded messages, for which you may opt-out at any time.

 

Organizers may receive the email addresses of their Backers, Supporters, and Donators, if, and only if, the campaign is successfully funded. Donators do have the option to remain anonymous if they choose to do so.

 

Information We Collect

User-Provided Personal Information: You provide us with information about yourself, such as your name and e-mail address, when you register with the Service. If you correspond with us by email, we may retain the content of your email messages, your email address and our responses.

 

Cookies Information: When you visit funeralfund.com, we may send cookies - a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets funeralfund.com help you log in faster and enhance your navigation performance through the site. A cookie does not collect personal information about you. Funeralfund.com uses various cookie forms. A persistent cookie remains on your hard drive after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser's directions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.             What We Do With the Information We Gather.

1.         HOW PERSONAL INFORMATION IS USED. We may use the personal information you provide for any of the following reasons:

  . We may use your demographics information (i.e., age, postal code, residential and commercial addresses, and other various data) to more effectively facilitate the promotion of our services to appropriate target audiences.

2.         HOW NON-PERSONAL AND COOKIES INFORMATION ARE USED. We may track user traffic patterns throughout Funeral Fund and use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system. Overall, cookies help us provide you with  better Services, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie does not give us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

3.         OTHER USES. We may also use any of the above-referenced information that we gather to (a) resolve disputes, (b) troubleshoot problems, (c) prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, (d) enforce our Terms of Use Agreement, or (e) customize, measure, and improve Funeral Fund’s content and design.

 

  1. Children.  Consistent with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will not knowingly request, collect, or maintain personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without verified parental consent. No part of Funeral Fund is intended for anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that personally identifiable information of anyone under the age of 13 has been collected on Funeral Fund without verified parental consent, then we will promptly take the appropriate steps to remove this information.

  2. Security.  Your information is stored on our servers located in the United States. We treat data as an asset that must be protected and utilize many tools (e.g. encryption, passwords, physical security, etc.) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure. However, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, and other users may abuse or misuse your personal information that they collect from Funeral Fund. Although we work hard to protect your privacy, we do not promise and cannot guarantee, and thus you should not expect, that your personal information or private communications will always remain private.

  3. INFORMATION DISCLOSED TO UNAFFILIATED THIRD PARTIES. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may disclose your personal information to prevent an emergency, to protect or enforce our rights, to protect or enforce the rights of a third party, or as required by law (e.g. to comply with a subpoena or court order). Specifically, if you Submit any User Content, we may disclose your information to a third party that alleges that you have infringed their intellectual property rights or have otherwise violated their legal rights.

  4. INFORMATION DISCLOSED TO THIRD PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may contract with various third parties for the provision and maintenance of the Site or Services and our business operations.   1. Links to Other Websites.  Funeral Fund may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over the other website to which you are directed. We cannot, therefore, be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide while visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

WE May, in OUR sole and absolute discretion, change this policy from time to time by updating this document.  ALL AMENDED TERMS AUTOMATICALLY TAKE EFFECT 30 DAYS AFTER THEY ARE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that You agree with any changes. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ANY FUTURE CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY, YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY CEASE ALL USE OF THE SITE.
